To flawlessly execute the technical production of a professional three-camera, live-to-tape video podcast, ensuring high-quality audio and video capture from setup to strike, and delivering verified media files for post-production.
Professionally framed, exposed, and color-balanced video is captured from three cameras for every session.
A clean, live-switched program is successfully recorded via the ATEM Mini Pro.
High-quality, peak-free audio is recorded from all microphones via the RØDECaster Pro II.
All recorded media files are securely offloaded, verified for integrity, and uploaded to the company's Google Drive before leaving the studio.
The studio and all equipment are systematically set up before each session and neatly wrapped and stored afterward.
The on-camera host is supported with a functional confidence monitor and a technically seamless recording environment.
Live Production: 1–2+ years of experience in a live or live-to-tape multi-camera environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Video Switching: Working familiarity with the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro or similar live switchers.
Audio Engineering: Solid fundamentals in gain staging, monitoring levels, and troubleshooting audio (hum/ground issues) on a RØDECaster Pro II.
Camera Operation: Foundational knowledge of Canon mirrorless cameras, including manual control of exposure, white balance, focus, and shot composition.
Media Management: Disciplined process for verifying takes, naming folders, performing clean card dumps, and managing uploads.
Professionalism: Ability to own the entire technical workflow, work independently, and lead the room during a shoot.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience as a creator (e.g., personal YouTube channel).
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere.
Experience with field/vlog capture, including gimbal or steady-cam operation.
A strong intuition for lighting and color correction.
Position Type: 1099 Contractor.
Availability: Must be available for batch recording sessions typically held once a month. Call times are 4–8 hours per day, usually during standard business hours (weekdays or an occasional Saturday). Must be available for occasional paid rehearsals.
Location: All work is performed on-site at the downtown Nashville office.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: TBD
Overtime: 1.5x the hourly rate for hours worked beyond 8 in a single day.
Minimum Call: 3-hour paid minimum for any scheduled session.
Cancellation Fee: 50% of booked hours paid if canceled within 24 hours; 25% if canceled within 48 hours.
Compliance: Must complete a W-9, sign an NDA for brand and guest confidentiality, and pass a background check.
